San Antonio - Home of the Riverwalk...errrrr Alamo!

This past Saturday, my gift to Belinda for Valentine's Day last week, was a trip to San Antonio (sans our BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT children). Avery and Jaelyn stayed at friend's houses, and Braden and Evan stayed at my mom's (THANK YOU MOM!). Belinda and I get to see each other for a few hours each night (sometimes), and we get to be with each other most weekends (sometimes), but you all who have children know that you don't get REAL time with your spouses.

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel chain, because that was the hotel that I proposed to Belinda, and so it has a special meaning to us. I'm not sure if this one had an actual courtyard in it, but it was still a nice place. It was right off the famous Riverwalk as well. Since we only had one night to be away, staying directly off the Riverwalk seemed to be the best place to be, since we could do and see alot in such a SHORT amount of time. If you want to see some pics, check out Belinda's blog! The Riverwalk was definitely the highlight for me, but we also saw the Alamo (very cool imo), a carriage ride (B felt like she was a princess, and it's good that she felt that way, since she IS one to me), had amazing guacamole at Budrou's, stopped by a Coyote Ugly and felt we were too old for the club scene, then stopped at another club and felt entirely too YOUNG for that one (ha!), took a neat boat tour of part of the river that runs through the city, ate dinner at the top of the "Tower of the Americas", as well as a few other hit and miss things. It was definitely a "city within a city", down on the Riverwalk. PERFECT choice for the short stay we had, and I HIGHLY recommend it to any of you that are or will head that way some time.

I had such an amazing time with the love of my life.

I wish I could do so much more for her, because she does so much for me.

Belinda, thanks for being alongside me in this journey.

Here's to many...MANY...more adventures together!

I love you, babe!

You weren't disappointed with the Alamo?? I remember when I went to it, I had been looking forward to it all day long. Then I got to it and I was like "This is it??" That place was SOOO tiny. No wonder they all died!

I knew it would be tiny since that's all I had heard about it. After hearing how small it was, I was actually impressed with how big it was.
