After seeing the title of this blog post, I bet you all can't wait to hear something juicy? Well, you get a good taste of that...or maybe it's not, but I figured I'd just go ahead and say it to get it out in the open...
I like Miley Cyress. Yes, I said it! I put it on for the kids this morning on the way to school, and after I dropped them off, I listened to it all the way to work! No matter what you all say, I dig her. She's not one of my favorite artists by any means...REALLY...but I don't hate her music, and actually don't mind listening to it with the kids (until they decide to listen to the same track fifty straight times, then it's time to turn it off). Her show is hilarious, as they've got a great little cast, making it one of the better kiddie shows on. And if I have to watch a kiddie show with my shorties, I better be watching something I enjoy. Luckily this is one that we all like.
Oh yeah, and I bought my first Country cd in at least 15 years. I purchased the Garth Brooks cd "Ropin' the Wind" when it came out, because it was just like a mellow rock song. Which Country cd did I purchase this time, and why in the world would I purchase a Country cd when it is far and away my least favorite kind of music? I went with Rascall Flatts Greatest Hits, Volume 1. I've loved every song I've ever came across by various means, but the reason I finally went ahead and purchased this cd was because of (and this is how I link this paragraph with the one above) they gave an amazing rendition of "Bless the Broken Road" on the new Hannah Montana movie (which wasn't a bad flick either). Seriously, these guys are talented. Will I continue buying Country cd's? No. Maybe if Rascall puts out a Volume 2 I might, but even that might be stretching it a bit. But just like the Garth Brooks' cd, most of this cd just feels like a mellow/soft rock cd, but then come in the familiar remade tune from the Cars soundtrack "Life if a Highway", and it ramps up a bit.
I know I'll lose some street cred with my admissions above, but I had to get it off my chest. I'll understand if I lose some of you as friends. HA!
Peace and chicken grease...YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAW!!! Where my Cowfolk at?!
