My new favorite snack. I found these and only saw that they were a new jalapeno pretzel that Snyder's put out, but after my first bite I saw they were pumpernickel pretzels as well! I LOVES me some pumpernickel! Anyway, what a perfect combination of flavors...pumpernickel, cheddar, and jalapeno. I also picked up some Hot Buffalo Wing flavored Snyders as well, and they're pretty good also. Both are spicy, but not "regret it on the toilet in a few hours" hot like the plain Jalapeno flavored pretzels they have (which are still my favorite out of them all).

I was picking up the house a little while ago, and Braden runs to me saying something, but the only thing I could understand was "spider". It's so hilarious and cute how afraid of spiders he is. Of course, any bug to him is a spider, so we get this pretty regularly. Anyway, the bug was dead, and I was in the middle of something, so his big brother A stepped in and saved the day. After that, all was well in the Sheldon kingdom for Braden.

The new version of Madden NFL Football 2007 came out this past week. It's a regular addition to my collection every year. I was especially geeked about this year's version because of a few new features they had, but mostly because I didn't get last year's edition. I've only played a few years, but as usual it rocks (and unfortunately as usual, I can't play defense to save my life on there).

At work right now, we're almost recovered from a storm that rolled through on Tuesday night. A lightning bolt PUNCHED A HOLE through our main antenna, which in turn leaked some gaseous mixture from the top of the antenna. No one was hurt, and we're almost done fixing it, but we've had little to no signal going over the air for a few days. The only way people could hear us in good quality would be over the net in our streaming section, which is at least something, but still. The best thing about this is that it's nothing I have to fix. It's all someone else's responsibility, so that's a load off my shoulders. With my main cohort, Brent, gone to Nigeria for a week and a half, I've had a ton of stuff pop up already, causing my usual good days at KSBJ to turn a little more sour. It's all good though, but I can't wait for him to get back so we can get back to tag-teaming it all. Prayers for safety and blessings to him and the rest over there helping out with a station we partnered with.
Mom is back in Iowa visiting family and friends, so we had Steve over for dinner last night. Mom hooked us up with steaks and chicken before she left. The chicken was chicken, but the steaks were off tha HOOK. Tenderloins, and probably the best batch of steaks I've ever made, and eaten outside of a steakhouse. Everyone was raving over how good they were. The rest of the night entailed just hanging out, playing Blokus (our new favorite family game...thanks Pat!), and then some more hanging out.
And to finish off this post...my dad has a new love interest! Been praying for him and hoping that God blesses him with an amazing woman, and from what I've heard, she very well could be that woman! Can't wait to hear how things are going with them, but after 11 days, things are amazingly well. Ahhhh...the beginning stages of a relationship...how fun!
Well, hopefully this post turns out, and you guys are all here reading it.
Peace and love,
E

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed the steaks. You just have to keep your eyes open at Kroger. Every time that I go there, I check out the meat cases looking for red clearance stickers. You really never know what could be waiting for you!!!!!!
