SKILLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

Last night, the fam and I packed up the mini-van, went to David's Bridal so B could try on some dresses for her sister's wedding, then his Outback for some awesome steaks, and then went to our main destination...Grapevine Christian Bookstore for an in-store acoustic perfomance followed by a meet-n-greet-n-autograph session with SKILLET!!! Skillet's new cd is amazing, so I was stoked to see how an acoustic version of their hard rocking jams would sound. They did four songs..."Saviour" from their "Collide" cd, and then "Rebirthing...", "The older I get", and "Whispers in the dark" from their new cd. Afterwards we went up and got to talk to them and get some autographs. Avery was in his height of glory! So much so, that after he got the 'graphs, he immediately ran across the store to show his mom, and didn't care to wait for me. He got his cd, and then a Skillet poster, signed by them. I had my Zen immortalized by having them sign it, which then sparked conversation by all of them for a few minutes. I could tell I was the envy of a bunch of other fans who went through the line fast, while they still wanted to talk to me. I don't know if they remembered me from when I drove them a few months ago, but it was still amazing to see how after already signing a few hundred 'graphs, this being their next to last acoustic stop to promote their new cd, and yet they still were super nice and welcoming when we came up to get our 'graphs. Korie, the lead singer John's wife, was the most inviting as she looked up at us, smiled the biggest smile and loudly said "Thank you guys SO much for coming out to support us! You guys are awesome!" Which I replied with "No, YOU guys are awesome! Thank you SO much for coming out here so we could see you!" It was a great night, and here are some pics for your viewing pleasure...
