My aunt and uncle are in town for twelve days...yes...TWELVE days. The thing with that is that they don't have anything planned to do, and don't really see that they'll go out much. They just want to spend time with mom, Steve, and my fam. That's cool and all, but wow...I would need SOMETHING to do for at least 3/4 of the time since they're here TWELVE days. It's nice seeing them again.
They've been here since last Thursday and just taking Houston in for the first few days. This Saturday they're going to the Third Day / David Crowder*Band concert, so that should be a good time. They're also going to hit Galveston at Steve's bro's beach house for a few days, but other than that, I think they're just gonna hang out.
And now to the witnessing history part. Tonight (Monday), I played in my weekly basketball league, but found out earlier that besides my fam, my mom, Steve, and my aunt and uncle were all coming. Ouch! Talk about feeling sick to my stomach about being nervous. I'm somewhat used to my fam coming, and even mom and Steve at times, but I don't think I've had anyone come to a game of mine since High School, if then. The first half was rough, but they missed most of it. I had 6 pts, 5 boards, and 2 blocks. We were down by four at the half, to the number 1 team in the league. They haven't lost yet. Second half was where things went way differently. We never led until late in the game, but it seemed as if we were leading the whole time. Second half stats, another 10 pts, 6 boards, and 2 blocks. My last 5 points came down to a bucket and free throw to put us ahead by 1 with 20 seconds left. They ran right down the court and scored in 5 seconds. We ran back down the court, and since we only needed one 2 point bucket, the point guard was looking to drive, but they double teamed him. He caught me out the corner of his eye under the basket, and I put it in to win the game as time expired.
History.
