It's been hard getting into the mood for the Christmas season this year with it being unusually warm down here (mid 80's lately), but today we received great news...a cold front was moving in! I figured it'd be a nice 15 degrees or so cooler, but when they said a "cold" front, they weren't joking! This morning it was almost 80 degrees, and now at 9:30am, it's already down to 60 and dropping fast! They said that it'll be down to 32 degrees by noon! ROCK!!! BRING SOME OF THAT WEATHER DOWN HERE, IOWA!!! I'm in my height of glory around here. Everyone is thinking I'm weird, liking this weather and all, but it's just who I am. I love Texas and all, and see us living here for a long while, but I honestly see myself moving back to the north somewhere before I die. I just enjoy the seasons that much.
This brings me to my topic today...places in the north I could see myself living.
1) Seattle. Sure it rains a lot, but I honestly kind of like that atmosphere. I feel more productive when it's gloomy outside. I think because it takes my attention off of what I could be doing outside and helps me realize that inside is where I will be for that time. Ha! Plus, it's where Starbucks originated, and they've got their world-renown fish market where they throw fish all over the place, so it's gotta be a good place to live, right? Oh yeah, and Seattle Grace hospital. ;)
2) Somewhere in the NE states...like Boston or somewhere around there. I like the culture, atmosphere, the ocean, etc. The real sports teams around there, etc. It'd be a cool place to live I'd think. I know I really would like to visit it at some point at least. And seeing some of the cool fishing ports up north would be cool.
3) Kansas City. The Chiefs...nuff said. Plus, KC is a cool town.
4) Chicago. The best city in the world in my opinion! If you know me, you know I love Chicago.
5) Somewhere by some mountains. I think it'd be so cool to go climb a mountain. Do some REAL hiking.
There are a ton of places that I think would be fun to live at, but B and I talked and what we really want to do when we get old, is to find a place in a small distance from a town, no real neighbors around except for possible friends, have a small pond behind our house with a nice stone bench by the pond to sit on...and plenty of hammocks. Oh yeah, and a tons of beer and pizza plants.

Oh well. 24 hour a day Christmas music helps. :)
