New Year's Goodness

A new year is upon us once again. It goes faster and faster every year. Seems it was just Y2K and everyone was thinking the end of the world was upon us. This past year was very good to the Sheldon household. We're still getting used to Houston, but we still really like it down here. We're blessed beyond measure. This year we pray for continued blessings. When you break it down, family and friends, health, shelter, food and clothing is all you need. Prayers that everyone receives the needs of this life this year.

I don't really believe in new year's resolutions, because all the things I resolve to do I should be doing already, but if I were to make some, here would be what I'd go with.

1. Health - it's a given, but it's a necessity.
2. Quality Time with my family - i give the time, but is it truly QUALITY time? will my family look back and have fond memories of the time we spent?
3. Give more to God - this is third on the list, but actually first in my heart. if I do this, the rest will just come naturally, because they fall in line. if i'm giving to God (not monetarily, but with everything i have), then i'll be treating my body as a temple, i'll be showing my family quality time and creating memories for them.

That's basically all I have for this year. I pray you all see the necessities of your life and focus more on them, than on striving to have more than the Jones'. God bless you all, and may you have a wonderful '07!
