Week's worth of rambles! Only 99 cents!

Hey all, sorry it's been forEVER since I posted. I know how you all hang on every little word I say. HA HA HA! Okay, seriously, head is out of the clouds. SIP the coffee, Erik...don't CHUG it.

Whew...okay...breathe...just breathe...

So, this week flew by as fast as any other week. Monday was Dr Martin Luther King Jr day. THE most unnoticed and important holiday the US doesn't officially celebrate. I think that pretty much sums it up. Every year, I try to sneak and listen to most, if not all of the "I Have a Dream" speech he did, and luckily, the station plays it, so it's easier for me the past few years to get it in. Still probably the best speech ever done. And he's still missed by people who weren't around when he was, and never knew him really, and what he's been through.

Tuesday...THE RELEASE OF WORLD OF WARCRAFT: BURNING CRUSADE!!!

Brent and I went to Best Buy bright and early to make sure we'd get copies. Okay, we went early so that "I" could be sure and get a Collector's Edition copy of the game. It was nerd central, let me tell you. It was almost as bad as when Stan and I camped out for Star Wars: Episode 1. Almost. I totally am realizing that I'm more of a geek than I want to admit. I'm not hardcore by any means, but I've got just enough geek in me to get into the geek club. I'd say my geek to cool ratio is about 49% geek, 51% cool. ;)

Wed and Thursday were the normal days of just business. I've been trying to really play with the kids lately. Not just play time, but really and seriously sit and focus on them. I can tell they're eating it up, and have really needed it, and that I've totally lost out on a lot of time. As I said a few weeks ago that I'm going to really try and focus on spending the time to make memories with them, and not just regular quality time.

Can tv shows get any better lately? "The Office" and "Earl" started slow this year, but have picked up steam and I think have been putting out some of their best shows to date. Last night's Office was probably the best of the season in my opinion. "Grey's Anatomy" is the best show on tv. It just never has a bad episode. "Friday Night Lights" is the second best drama on tv, behind it. "Heroes" and "Lost" are FINALLY about to start back up, and they're can't miss. "Scrubs" is the best comedy, and last night's musical number was an instant classic for all of it, but especially the "Guy Love" song. "Mythbusters", "Dirty Jobs" and "Battlestar Galactica" (the new series) is picking up steam on the DVR as well.

This weekend B is having a scrapbook party with some friends that I know she can't wait to do, and while she's doing that, I'll be at some friend's house having a WoW:BC LAN with four friends, and Stan back in Iowa! Can't WAIT! It's fun to play games online with friends, but it's nice to get together and play BESIDE live players and interact that way. So, tomorrow will be an all day scrapbook/WoW-fest!

That's about it, all! Hope you have a fun-filled weekend!

God Bless,
E
