***If you didn't read my previous post, please take the time and read it when you have a chance.***
Saturday morning, my neighbor came to my door to tell me the Intrepid had a flat tire. I went out and sure enough, the tire was flat as a pancake. Evidently it must have gone flat overnight. B didn't realize it either, because she started to drive it to work and then felt something wasn't right, so she drove it home and saw it was flat. Thank God it happened on the weekend, on the best possible day it could have happened since we had nothing to do yesterday, and also that it gradually went flat rather than blowing at 55mph. The shorties and I went to get the tire fixed and decided to hit the chinese place right next door while we waited the hour plus. I had them do some other maintenence since they were already there and working on my car. At the buffet, we go there at about 11:15, and I guess they didn't open until 11:30? That's weird to me that a restaurant would open later than 10:30? Oh well. While waiting for the buffet to open, they put us real close to it and got us drinks. I tried all I could to keep the shorties interested for 15 minutes. I about ran out of ideas. Braden was so hungry that he was starting to throw a fit. Then a cute little girl his age came with her folks and sat in the table next to us, providing him with some interaction that kept him busy until we started eating.
After lunch we checked back with the progress of the car. They still weren't done after an hour and a half, so we sat in the little waiting room. The kids were going stir-crazy after about 10 mins, so we went outside and walked around. The car was finally done. I saw one of the guys drive it back out to the parking lot, but the front two tires were almost flat themselves, so I had him drive it back and fill up the tires. He did it with a smile on his face and seemed okay with doing it, but it just struck me as odd that they wouldn't have seen that and just done it right then, because it was VERY obvious how flat they were. As I started to drive away, I noticed they didn't put a new sticker showing the date/miles I should come back for another oil change, which was weird to me, and just made me think (for whatever reason) to check and see if they put the spare tire back in it's storage spot or just put it in the trunk. When I looked in there THEY DIDN'T EVEN PUT THE TIRE BACK! I was so glad I looked before getting home, or before I had another need for a tire.
