A terrible forgetter...

Hello, my name is E, and I'm a forgetter. I don't know how I forget stuff so much. Especially items on the top of the minivan, then drive off or go inside and forget it. Items forgotten on top of the van and lost because of driving off: 1 bible, 1 pair of glasses, a cd or two, a book, and countless drinks. I've locked the keys in my car about five times. I left a cd case with our DVD of the baby ultrasound from last week on top of the van last night. I don't know why I can't remember stuff is there?! I get out and put stuff up there while I put the kids in the van or help them out and help them get stuff to help me bring it in, and then totally space it off that I left something on top of the van. I was wondering this morning when I saw I forgot the cd case, exactly when did I start forgetting stuff like this (among other things). Was it all my life, or is it when I'm busy and get in a hurry? Was it when I got into a really bad accident when I was about 16, and my head went through the window and smacked on a '64 Impalla that hit me going 55mph? I know the human body is a wonder, but still, it can only take so much. I've often wondered if I have a mild case of Alzheimer's, because I forget TONS of stuff. But then again, I can remember certain things. Is it just me not paying attention? I don't know. I just know that I hate it. I'm tired of forgetting things.

Speaking of being tired of things...I'm tired of being tired. I can barely stay awake lately. All day I'm tired. At night I can't stay awake later than 9pm some nights. Last night I fell asleep at 9pm, then woke up at 2am (5 hours like I used to only need) and was ready to get up. I tossed and turned, turned and tossed, until 2:40am. I decided if I couldn't fall asleep in five minutes, then I was getting up for the day. Of course, I fell asleep. AHHHHHHHHH!!!

You forget stuff because it is stuff that you don't view important. Take for instance passwords to computer games or certain sport stats that no one really cares about...you remember that. But you don't remember conversations unless they mean something of value to you. You obviously don't have the complex mind of a woman so I give some sympathy, but when you lose or forget things that may effect others, that is when it gets me upset. No you don't have Alzheimers. No you don't have brain damage. You are a man and just can't do two things at once, like put kids in the van and remember to get your bible off the top of the van. My advise...stop putting things up there in the first place. Put it inside the van on the floor as you load kids. That way if you forget it, at least it's inside the vehicle and not on the 59 feeder! And write stuff down.
