I was reading my buddy Stan's blog (which you should all bookmark and check once in a while - just don't read any movie reviews of movies you care about seeing and haven't already, since he throws in too much info about the movie if you care about spoilers at all), and he was talking about a preview for the new season of one of B and I's favorite shows "Friday Night Lights". He was stating about how he can't wait for October for the new season to start. Thing is, he hasn't seen (or maybe he has DirectTV), but the season starts in October ONLY if you have DirectTV! They're making it an exclusive viewing on the satelite until they re-air the episodes on NBC in the Winter. What kind of crap is that?! And how is this show not getting more attention with all the awards it's won? This should be a pivotal season, since it IS a show about High School and people have to graduate soon, but they left us hanging last season and B & I can't wait to see this year's episodes. It's easily in the top 3 of shows we must see if it's a new episode. If you haven't seen it, it's based off a Texas high school football team, and the players and their friends/families/lives. Even if you don't like football, this is such an amazing show, that you need to add it to your weekly list for at least a few episodes!
One funny thing about this is that B and I were just talking about how if we had DirectTV, we would have a signal now. Our cable is down because we use AT&T fiber in our area and they're affected by the power outages. Hmmm...might be time to look further into that now just because of this show and the power outages lately. I need to find others who have DirectTV down here and see how much they are affected by cloudy skies and what not, because that was the only downside to the service when we had it in Iowa. I remember LOVING it. Back to work. Just had to quick mention this.

Yep...we DO have Directv alright! THAT's what I'm talking about! It does suck during bad thunderstorms because the signal will sometimes be interrupted. However, this is Iowa and we all know bad weather doesn't last that long. So when the signal isn't coming thru, that's a time I can catch up on dvr'ed shows. Oh, and we also have the benefit of getting to see the FNL season first. HA!
