Easy like Saturday morning...

Saturday morning. Tired, but happy to be up and at 'em, and not really have anything to do this weekend besides laundry and keep the house picked up, since B worked so hard this week to clean it up. I'm so glad it's November. October was so busy for us...FUUUUUN...but busy.

This past week, after getting back from Tanner's wedding in Iowa, we had a Halloween party for the kids, and invited a bunch of friends that B works with. B did such a great job setting up the house, and all the activities that we did with all the kids that night. I did what I could to help, but mostly just sat back and made sure stuff was picked up and the guests were taken care of all night. B got some great pics that you can see on her blog.

Last night, was trick or treating time around Houston, and let me just say that we made out like bandits! I've never see so much candy! There will be LOTS of teeth brushed in the next weeks while we work on diligently taking care of it all! Again, check B's blog for pics of the shorties in their costumes.

Before we went out last night, B and I took the kids to the voting booth with us. That's right, we sat in line for over an hour, and we did it with all four kids in tow! It can be done people! HA! Even though it was long, it really wasn't too bad. The kids were good enough, and didn't cause too much of a rucous. It was fun to bring them with us and show them the voting process, and explain how important it truly is to exercise your right to vote. It may not be as close most years as it is this year. Obama is pulling out the younger voters, and is looking very strong. McCain is not out of the race yet, though, and so all of his supporters need to suck it up and vote if they want him to have a shot. It will be interesting to see who wins. I honestly don't care, because I don't truly care for either candidate, but B and I did vote, and I'll wait until after the election to say who I voted for. ;~)

I finally broke into the 260's! After four MONTHS, I couldn't get past around 272 lbs, but last week, when I weighed, I finally got down to 269! The wedding, and all the running around we did this week didn't help my diet though, so I'll be waiting until next week to weigh myself again! HA! I'm not dumb...I know I'm back in the 270's, but I know I can get it going again. This morning I wanted to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, but I broke the pot and will have to settle for tea. I guess that's God's way of agreeing with me that I need to keep my caffeine to a healthier drink like tea. So instead of my ground up Starbucks beans, i'll be working on a great cup of Tazo organic apple tea.

Work is going really well right now. I'm finishing up a bunch of projects that have kept me busy for over a month, and it's nice to finally cross them off my plate. Now it's on to some other harder ones, and to focus on taking some certification tests. I'm going to take my A+ certification this November. It's a very low level certification, but it's a test that is all over the place in what questions it asks, and couple that with the anxiety I have whenever I take tests, I'm nervous about it. Good times!

Alright all, I'm gonna get off here and go fold some clothes! Have a great weekend!
