Posts a plenty

Last night I went off on the blog scene and did three posts. I could have gone on for more, but decided to go to bed. Without further adeu...see the next three posts...

“Fall”in’

Well, it’s Fall, and the tv season is in full swing. My fall tv lineup has greatly changed from that in seasons past. This year the comedies, beside a select few, haven’t really been all that. So, I’ve been watching more and more dramas and longing to see them over anything else. The top choices for me so far this season are:

Drama Category
“Heroes” – Premise: Ordinary people discover that they have extraordinary abilities. There’s more to it than that, but so far, that’s the gist. This show is the best new show on tv in my opinion. For anyone that does or used to collect comics, it’s a comic book put on tv. For those that don’t care about comics, you need to see this show anyway, because it’s got SUCH great production, but also because the cast and script are so well done that it’ll be a huge mistake if it’s pulled.

“Jericho” – Premise: The town of Jericho, Colorado (I believe), believes that a nuclear attack has just happened to the US, and that 10+ major cities have been the targets. They are only 4-5 days into the actual story, so not too much has gone on yet, but the storyline is very interesting to me. Only downside so far is that the acting is very mediocre. Still though…GREAT storyline in dealing with the US getting basically “Pearl Harbored” again, but this time with nukes and covering most of the US.

“The Unit” – Premise: An elite military unit that answers only to the President, carries out various covert missions that only they know about. This has been on for a season or two already, and I don’t know why I started watching it, but after one show I was hooked. Very cool, and kind of “A-Team”-ish, but it’s a serious drama and not a comedy.

“Grey’s Anatomy” – If you don’t know, you’re living under a rock.

“CSI”, “CSI:Miami” – We tape these every week, but haven’t kept up with them yet. Still, always classic shows.

“Friday Night Lights” – A series based off the movie, and it’s gotten rave reviews from critics and weekly viewers, so I had to start taping it. I’ve got every episode on the DVR, but haven’t sat down to watch them yet.

"Lost" - Getting better and better every episode.

There are just too many to name, but these are on the top of my list of must sees each week.

Comedy Category
“Two and a half Men”, “The Office”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “My Name is Earl”, and “30 Rock” are the main ones. “30 Rock” looks to be hilarious. “How I…” is still the best comedy on right now (besides “Scrubs”). The rest (2 ½, Office, Earl) have seemed to REALLY fallen off this year. I like some of the stuff going on in the Office, but overall the show hasn’t really been good in my eyes this year. Earl has been slow, and 2 ½’s only real redeeming quality is a good punchline once in a while, and the uncanny likeness in attitude and demeanor that I see in Charlie Sheen, that I also see in my stepdad, Jim.
