One giant hive!

So last night I'm running late from work, so I stop at the store to grab some lunchmeat to make the kids something to eat before we go to Jaelyn's practice. I picked up some protein bars as well, for a snack for me every now and then. I love 'Powerbars', so that was my snack of choice. We ate sammiches on the way, and then I had a banana flavored Powerbar while I watched J practice. I started to itch but it wasn't anything big until we were about half way home. It got worse and worse and I started itching all over and barely could see by the time we pulled in the driveway. Thank God my mom could get me some epsom salt to soak in, and some sudafed to help stop everything else. My hands itched from my wrist to my fingertips on both hands. My face and neck were beet red. My underarms to my waist were red and inflamed as well. And on top of that, it was all covered in hives. I was HURTING. The sudafed knocked me out by 9pm, and I didn't move all night. This morning I don't itch that much, but my armpits and one ankle are hurting from itching so much. We're not sure what could have caused it, other than the Powerbar. So, I've got three to give away today. :(

On other news, B is still having morning sickness, but it's slowed way down since this past Monday. I had everyone at the station pray for her. I believe in the power of prayer! :) Now though, she's got a cold that came on in one big wave, and so she's feeling horrible. Today is her last day in the med/surgery unit at Kingwood, and she didn't want to miss any goodbye celebration they might have planned for her, so she's trying to stick it out as best she can. I got her some Robitussin and Sudafed, but it's not helping so far. She's hoping it will subside enough for her first day in the OB unit on Sunday. Prayers for that please.

Well, it's Friday, and that means the weekend starts at 4:30pm for me. CAN'T WAIT!

Have a great weekend!
E
