Finally we had a frost a few days ago, and the mosquitos and bugs are gone! HALLELUAH! Now we can enjoy the weather for a few months.
Soccer is nearing to a close for the shorties for now. After this week's holiday break, they conclude their seasons the following Saturday, with team parties for both immediately after. It's a bittersweet ending in my head. Sure it's a pain at times, but I love watching them play, and love seeing them both do well. The only change I forsee is that if Jaelyn decides to play next season, I will be her coach. Sure, I'm not the most experienced coach in the soccer realm, but I'm way more positive and encouraging than her coach was this year. He was a jerk. I'll leave it at that. Jaelyn is not the most athletic girl, but that's only because she has just chosen to be less of a tom-boy than most of the girls who play in the league. She wants to keep playing as of now, so looks like I need to work with her more. Avery seems to be just a natural at any sport he plays. He excels at anything he does, and it just comes easy to him. He scored three goals this week, and had a SWEET assist to start the game. I can't wait to see Braden when he starts to play!
So after playing and hating golf a couple weeks ago, I'm finding myself wanting to play more and more now. I know, I know. I think it's a thing where I realize I'm getting old, and can still play a sport like golf until I'm really old. I don't know if I'll truly pick up the sport, but I know i have the itch right now, and want to get out there again. Wish I could find some tall guy who wants to donate his clubs to some newbie.
This week is Thanksgiving week, so I'm getting more and more in the spirit of things, and enjoying the fact that less and less people will be here as the week goes by (at work anyway). That means less and less work I will have to do for them, and more and more work I can do for myself. Getting some projects started/finished that are needed. It's funny how I used to love taking these days off, but now that I'm in control of the IT aspect, I love working these days because of the lower amount of intrusions of my time by others. We're celebrating Thanksgiving this Saturday with mom, Steve, and his family, so on Thursday, while B is working, I'm going to go to Brent's house and celebrate with him, some of his family and friends. I can't miss out on Turkey on Thanksgiving. That's just not right! ;) Anyone know knows me knows that this is my favorite meal of the year. Nothing compares to Thanksgiving meal. NOTHING!
Belinda is finally starting to feel better in the pregnancy area. She's had a flu for about 10 days, but it's basically just stuffed nose right now. Thank God she's feeling better. Poor thing was miserable. I pray for a healthy rest of pregnancy, and a healthy baby. We've had too many friends down here go into bed rest in their pregnancies, and I would hate for B to have to go through that!
Well, it's Monday morning...I just finished a Starbucks Triple Grande Pumpkin Spice, and now I get to work on some audio equipment. Yahoo!
God bless and have a great week! Happy Thanksgiving!
