Oh wait, I never stopped.
Cisco training last week was fun, yet insane. All the stuff we went over and trained on was enough to make a grown man cry. Still though, I am so glad I got to go through it and learn some new skills. The only downside was I didn't realize how much I would truly miss Belinda and the kids. I honestly was ready to come home Wednesday night after I got off the phone with them. The last few days were tough in school, and made even tougher with the longing to be back home. But through it all, I had a great time, got to hang out with Brent a bit, and was able to focus on my schooling 10000% more than I could if I was coming back home after class and had children running and playing all around. We'll have to take the second week long course some time in the future, but I'll be doing it in Dallas or somewhere way closer so when it's over I can jet home!
On Monday, I had a golf event for work. I had four of the best drives in my life that day. I hit one 260 yards, four feet exactly to the left of the marker in the middle of the fairway! It was GORGEOUS! I couldn't totally enjoy myself though, as I wanted to get back to work to see how we can implement what we learned from the class.
Tuesday though, all things were back to normal. Back to work, overwhelmed with fifty million projects to do, and no time to sit down and do any of them because as soon as I do, I get pulled away to do some help desk stuff.
Prayers for Belinda's cousin Kim, and her family. Kim (if you don't already know) has been battling various cancers the past few years, and has been the truest definition of Christian faith and perserverence I have ever seen. She has been battling brain cancer for a couple years now, and just went through brain surgery for the second time to remove the tumor in there. Yesterday, she went through her second gamma knife procedure as well, which is pinpointed radiation basically from what I know. Thank God that all has gone through with no loss of speech or memory, but we received bad news that since her last brain surgery a couple weeks ago, the tumor has already grown three times in size. Please say some prayers for Kim and her husband Rob and their three children.
Thank you all,
E
