It's Sunday the 5th, and it's 1am. Just hopping off WoW. Man, I've said it once, and I'll say it a million times more. That game is just so fun. I think that game would hook anyone to the wonderful world of video games.
Anyway, what a week that went down in the Sheldonland. First of all, we finally finished the last studio at work, so we don't have any more studios to work on for a while (until we go to HD and we start doing more radio formats). The Newsboys came in and I got to meet them, as well as my mom and the shorties. It was a cool night! Trick or Treating came a calling that night, so we did the Newsboys, then ran home to dress up and head out. What a fun time! Avery and Jaelyn were used to it all, but it was Braden's first "real" time where he understood part of what was going on. It was SO flippin' cute to see him go and get candy from people's houses. He loved it, and they all made out big time. Too much candy that will be sitting on the fridge.
Belinda and I decided it was time to talk to our LIFE group and let them know we were leaving the church (ACC), and the LIFE group as well. So far it's been received well. We've tried one church so far, and don't think it's where we'll be going, so the search continues! HA! I have a lunch meeting this week with an associate pastor from ACC. Sort of an exit "interview" in my eyes. They just want to know why we're leaving, etc. Nothing against the church at all, but it's just not where we should be. We're not getting anything out of the sermons, and we can't keep going to a church because the worship music is good, and they have good children's services. That's all.
Basketball is over, and not too soon. We went 3-5. Not a good record, but not horrible either. I just hated knowing that we could have done better if we would have changed our defensive philosophy earlier in games, and that the teams shot LIGHTS OUT this year against us. It was just plain sick. Flashbacks of the "A" league at Urbandale.
Our antenna at work should be up to full power for the first time since August, by the beginning of this week, so I'm sure we'll get tons of emails saying "It's so good to hear you again!" I'm just going to be watching the email server extra careful the next few days. :) I don't want to see any downtime in that area of work.
The NBA season started this week as well, and it's pretty sad but I'm already dissappointed. I was all excited to see some games, and then I did. Extremely let down is all I can say. If you're not watching a Magic game, or a game with Lebron or a few other select players, and it's just an average game. They need to spice up the game some how. The new ball looks awesome, but the game itself has just gotten boring to watch in a super quick amount of time. Thank God it's still football time! The NFL is still the best sport in the world.
Today was soccer day. Ugh...what an exhausting day. Pictures were supposed to be at 11:30 and 12, and then games at 3 and 4:30. Pictures lasted until 1p, and then the games ran late. We didn't get home until about 6p. And just think...this is only one sport...it's on the same day for their games...Braden's not playing anything yet...and neither is baby #4!!!
Speaking of #4, we went to the dr for the monthly check on Friday. They do a normal heartbeat check every time, but this time couldn't find a heartbeat. The dr wasn't worried, but both B & I thought about it right away and became nervous. They then brought in the ultrasound machine to make sure. They couldn't get a heartbeat again...but it was because the baby was going crazy in there! So, baby #4 is doing well.
Well, enough talking for now. It's 1:30 and I'm going to read a couple chapters of my book that I'm reading and then hit the sack. I think I'm going to skip church tomorrow and just have some down time. Catch up on the laundry if I can, do some cleaning, enjoy some NFL, and try to eat healthy for a second straight day.
God bless,
E
