Five Q's from Q

My friend Stan received some questions from a friend who reads his site and the way it works is that you answer them on your blog and then if anyone else who reads your blog wants to do it, you email them five questions that they HAVE to answer on their blog. So, here are his five questions and my five answers.

1. If you could live anywhere in the world that you haven't already, where would it be and why? Answer: Chicago is the choice everyone knows since I absolutely LOVE that place. I'm going to go with Hawaii though. When I visited with my grandparents years ago, I was blown away with how colorful the place is. I don't mean commercially, I mean naturally. It was just gorgeous. You smelled flowers everywhere you went, and there are no words to describe how amazing the scent was. The water was so amazingly blue and see-through, that it took your breath away. The waves were so big it made you just want to go sit and ride them all day. Just laying back and going up and down. Sure, everything is super expensive since it's all shipped there, but I would live off the pineapple. To this day I still try to find Dole pineapple that is made in Hawaii because of how amazingly sweet it was when we went there.

2. What Bible verse means the most to you and WHY? Answer: Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." As a sword would be forged, it is pounded by an iron mallet. If it is pounded correctly, the sword is made and is sharp, if not, the sword is wasted and would be reforged to try and make it sharp. That's how we are in life with the people we come in contact daily...family, friends, coworkers, strangers...we either sharpen them or dull them with each interaction we have. We can sharpen or dull them to God, the Bible, and anything else intentionally or unintentionally.

3. If you had a chance to have dinner with your favorite historical figure and only had the chance to ask him/her three questions, what would they be? Answer: Jesus. The questions would be endless, but if I had to pick three, then they would be 1) Why do you allow suffering of innocents? I know we're all evil, but there are some truly horrible people out there, with innocent people going through unimaginable horrors every day...why do you allow it? 2) When we get to heaven, when I see my family, will we still connect like we do now, or will we only worship you? It would seem like such a waste if you bring us to heaven, but then we don't interact and love on our family who is there with us? 3) Will there be pizza trees in heaven? Because we all know that was what the forbidden fruit was on the tree that Adam and Eve ate from, since they're not around any more. ;)

4. What is your favorite video game of all time? Answer: This is tough because in all the different genres of gaming, it's hard to compare the different facets of gameplay and declare a winner, but if I had to only pick one, it wouldn't be that hard to say that "World of Warcraft" is it. The environment is amazing, the gameplay options are endless, and the end-game content that I'll never get to is so amazing that it brings you back over and over when you think you've finally had enough and want to try another game.

5. What do you consider the lowest part of your life so far? Answer: Failing God over and over after becoming a Christian 12 years ago. Crying out to God each time I fall in one way or another and wondering why I can't get it right, even though I know I'll sin every day for the rest of my life. Mostly, my anger with my children. Knowing I can't take back words that are said or anger that is shown. I wish I could be more like my mom and in-laws are, and I hold them and their parenting on high pedastols of what I want to be like. I pray I will be there one day, and have my children wish to be like me in that respect.

Here are the rules if you want to keep it going:

1. *Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me." *
2. *I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the
questions. *
3. *You will update your blog with the answers to the questions. *
4. *You will include this explanation and an offer to interview
someone else in the same post. *
5. *When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them
five questions.*
