AC blues and wife praisin'!

Today at 4am, B and I woke to hear some loud mechanical humming noises coming from the direction of our central air units. It took me a minute, but I eventually got out of bed and went to take a look. It was dark, but I could see that it was one of our units (as opposed to our neighbors water softener which I was praying was the culprit) and the fan of said unit was just sitting there. Something was wrong obviously, but my next mode of thinking was "which floor's unit is this?!". I prayed it was the upstairs, only because if it took a while to get it fixed, it would only affect the kids while they sleep, and they could sleep downstairs in the meantime if need be. After further testing we found out that it was indeed the upstairs unit, so thank goodness there. We have a deal with our energy company, that lets us get treated to AC and heater maintenence twice a year, and it's time for them to come out anyway, so I called our service company to come out today. They'll be here between noon and four, which stinks for Belinda, but thank goodness she got called off of work today because of the low number of patients they have on the floor, and so she'll be home when they come to look at the units.

It was a very productive morning for B & I, since we got up that early. I did some stuff around the house I had needed to do for a while, and then got a list for a Lowe's run later today. I'll be even more productive at work, if my heart doesn't pound out my chest, because B stopped on her way back from work and got me a triple shot Starbucks coffee. Bless her heart, she was thinking of me on her way home, knowing I had been up since 4 with her and our AC unit, and wanted to help me get through the day. Nevermind the fact that she got me a coffee, with three shots of expresso added to it! LOL! She must have misheard me say that I like to make my "latte's" with the shots, not "coffee". HA! It's the thought that counts, and bless her heard for thinking of me like that. It instantly put a smile on my face! And I will drink this coffee with that smile on my face. It's easiest the most potent coffee I have ever had! :D HA! Love ya, babe!

Well, time to get crackin'. Prayers our repair bill isn't too bad.

***Update (10:26am): Couldn't finish the coffee. Got about half of it downed and now I have a caffeine headache! HA! Fun experiment though!***
