Media Xplosion

It's been a CRAZY last seven days for the Sheldon's! Here are some videos and pics of the past week...

This one is about a month old, but still too cute...Evan playing with balloons from J's birthday party.

Now getting more current, we start with a video from the Rodeo carnival ride area where A and Braden are flying on this Superman type ride. I didn't see how it was before he rode on it, but they said he was tall enough, so I didn't worry too much. It was FLYING around and around. I could hear Braden, but I thought he was crying. Believe it or not, but Avery said he was yelling "YEEEAAAH!!!" the whole time! He LOVED it!

Some pics from the Houston Rodeo. We went there last Thursday. The weather was perfect when we got there early afternoon, but quickly changed to NASTY! We seriously were almost frostbiten by the time we got to our car at the end of the night.

People know that I am about the furthest thing from a cowboy, or anything country, but we had a blast. Made me miss the Iowa State Fair so much more as well, as it seemed like a mini version of it. Can't wait to get back there this year!

Kids modeling their new hats...yup, got my kids cowboy/girl hats. Okay, so I've gone a "little" country, but that's all. They were too stinkin' cute in them!

J is such a cowgirl, it's not funny!

Howdy Miss, can I have this dance?
My little Monkey.

This was a display with chicks that had recently or were just about to. In this pic, the one to the right was just sitting there in it's egg. Too tired to break that last bit. We all checked, and yes, it really WAS breathing!

Looking at the inside of this "tractor" made me realize how easy farmers have it when they get to at least this point of their farming duties. This tractor was AMAZING inside! I kept looking for the "16 switches" so I could get my tractor-pimp-on! :)

The kids waiting intently for this cow to deliver her calf.
Never happened while we were there. :(

On Saturday, A & I (along with Mom and Steve) went to the Newsboys concert. They recorded a DVD here in Houston last Summer, but the director wasn't pleased with the results. They decided to do a reshoot and could have done it over in Russia, Australia (where they're from), or any other tons of places they still had concert dates, but nope, they added one more day to their concert dates...back in good ol' Houston, Texas! And what a show it was! I've seen the 'Boys a bunch of times, and they've never had a bad show. I can't wait for this DVD to come out!!! These pics are taken with my phone, so they're not the best, but you get the general idea. The opening of this concert was AWESOME!

Three cheers for Avery, who won the Awesome Student Award in his school! He was awarded two free tickets to a Rockets game on one of three dates. We chose last night's game against the Nets. It's sad to say, but I haven't been following the Rockets this year at all, and had all but forgot they were on the 18 (now 19) game winning streak until we decided which game we were going to. The seats were of course in the "nose bleed" section, but still they weren't bad at all. The Toyota Center is a really nice venue. Too bad the punk kids behind us has potty mouths, and were lucky I had children with me, because my size 14's were about to get warmed up!

"Guard me? Guard me?! The Secret Service couldn't guard me!" - Lil Penny. I stood about an inch shorter than T-Mac in this photo. Of course it was because Evan was holding me down. Look how HUGE my boy looks in this photo! Such a big boy!
My size 14's vs Yao's size 18's...not that much different. I could take him...as you'll see in the next picture!
Look at that. I'm about 7" shorter than Yao, but I look more menacing! Down down down, Yao is goin' down!
Our seats for the game. As you can see, we're about five rows from the top. Still though, they designed that arena really well, because at the top of the stairs are all the amenities you need, and they have so many that the lines didn't seem bad at all. Even though the Magic are my favorite NBA team, I root for all the Houston teams 2nd nowadays, since we live here and all. Check out A's shooting warmup. The pic doesn't give it justice. He got it for his bday last year from his Gma. It is FLY as all get out! Evan sat through the entire game and loved it! He had a blast, and so did Braden. I don't think the kids could have been any better last night!
This pic is for Bryon Moore, a buddy from back in Iowa. If you ever see this pic, it was taken for you, bud! I know you wish you were here!
And then a random photo we found in the photo section of the arena. Proof that everyone loves the Chiefs!
And then lastly, I HAD to put these couple pics on here. This is what I get to come home to at nights when B doesn't work, and he's sitting at the front door window. How stinking cute is he?!?!!?!? TOO DARN CUTE IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL, THAT'S HOW MUCH!!!
